I remember asking you about bringing hip waders to Kansas.  Yesterday I took my yellow lab on her first wild pheasant hunt in Nebraska.  We hunted 2 different CRP parcels.  Unlike Utah, there was more cover than you can imagine.  My dog flushed a couple of birds, but it was too hot and dry for her to get too much scent.  The cover was so thick that my dog had a hard time navigating.  I saw my first dead wild bobwhite quail---harvested by a Colorado hunter.
