I remember asking you about bringing hip waders to Kansas. Yesterday I took my yellow lab on her first wild pheasant hunt in Nebraska. We hunted 2 different CRP parcels. Unlike Utah, there was more cover than you can imagine. My dog flushed a couple of birds, but it was too hot and dry for her to get too much scent. The cover was so thick that my dog had a hard time navigating. I saw my first dead wild bobwhite quail—harvested by a Colorado hunter.
What a great photo sequence! You\’ve captured the essence and excitement of upland hunting: great dog work and good shooting. The only photo you left out was the dinner plate.

That rooster sure was sitting tight.
