Family Dog

Some of our good friends and their new dog. Nothing like kids and a lab. Note 2 year-old Brooklyn holding her dog, happy as can be.

It is great to hear from you. Things are going very well. Zeke is doing great. He has really changed our lives as a family. We are spending more time then ever as a family doing activities with Zeke.
Our daily routine is 5:30am I take Zeke out to play ball for about 15min. Then I spend a quick 5-7 min on training 6:20am I feed and brush him then take off for work. Shortly after that Buffie and the girls get up and spend the day with him. I get home at 5:00 and take him out again to play ball for 5-10min then spend about 20min on retrieving skills (baseball). Brooklynn and I then take him for a walk around the block so she has a chance to hold the leash and give commands. Then its water fetch until dinner is ready (15-20min). We go in and feed and brush him and slowly get ready to go to the park. At about 7:00pm we load up and head to the park. Buffie runs him 2-3 miles on the track while the girls and I are on the play ground. After Buffie is done with running they come and sit with me while Zeke is resting. the last 20mins we play fetch with the ball launcher. It launches a tennis ball about 70 yards. We play this until Zeke has had enough. Zeke sleeps on the floor in the girls room until they are a sleep then I put him in the crate when I head off to bed.
Saturdays and Sundays are fun because we take family trips and long walks. Last weekend we went to Mirror Lake and had him retrieve the bumper in the lake. We are taking him camping for Labor Day and his first 3 hunts will be that weekend. Dove the first day and then two days of Pheasants, Buffie and the girls are going too. We have already booked 16 hunts at the club and have many more hunts planed all over the state.
So as you can see we keep very busy and our lives have took a turn to spending more quality time together as a family. Buying Zeke was one of the best things we could of done for our family. We have turned off the TV and are spending more time as a family creating more great memories then ever before.
We have tons of pictures that I have not downloaded off of the camera yet. I will do that tonight and email you some of them.
We will have to get together this fall. I am sure Zeke would like to see you all.
like I said i will shoot you another email with pictures this weekend.
Until then I hope you and your family are doing well.
    Thanks again!
